The annual, 90 km Fish River Canyon clean-up was conducted during the week of 25 – 30 September 2017. The Gondwana Canyon Park team participated in the event organized by our MET Parks colleagues. Three staff members from Gondwana Canyon Park joined in the 90km clean-up hike. The team reported that although the hike was quit physically demanding due to the collected rubbish that had to be carried along their trek, the experience was fun, adventurous and fulfilling.

Over 80kg of recyclable material was collected and removed from the canyon. A pristine environment is always an attraction for tourists, so we wish the pristine nature of the Fish River Canyon can be left as such by its adventurous visitors.
