Environment

The Greater Waterberg landscape is situated in central Namibia. Lying approximately 1,650 m above sea level, the landscape covers about 7,500 km2.

Within the landscape are privately owned freehold cattle and game farms, state land proclaimed as a national park, and several large communal conservancies.

The vegetation of the landscape is predominantly Northern Kalahari and Thornbush Savanna.

The vision of the landscape management is to promote, support and facilitate the collaborative management and development of the Greater Waterberg Landscape for enhanced landscape and biodiversity conservation and socio-economic development.
