The Greater Sossusvlei-Namib landscape held a game count in July 2015.  Data are still being processed and results of the count will be made available as soon as possible.

The same exercise will take place soon in the Greater Fish River Canyon landscape on a date still to be determined.

Recently the NAM-PLACE project hosted a group of staff representative from the SPANEST Project in Tanzania. Their project focus is on Strengthening Protected Areas Network of Southern Tanzania. The project has similar aims to what NAM-PLACE strives to achieve and some of the activities are the same. On Saturday the 4th of July the Little Bugs Early Childhood Development Centre in the Greater Sossusvlei-Namib Landscape celebrated its Official Inauguration, with the attendance of over 70 guests. What a lovely day it was and the Little Bugs were awesome - singing the National Anthem and performing a dance!

The Khomas Hochland Hiking Trail launch event on12th June 2015 was a success and the venture has been welcome by many who would like to use the facility as soon as possible.
