Malyo Wilderness Camp nestles on the bank of the Kwando River in one of the permanent channels. Located between permanent water and grass-swept plains, we took pride in our commitment to tread lightly on the earth - the result is an organic architecture that blends seamlessly with one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Namibia.
The turn-off to the camp is about 28 km south of Kongola on the C49 gravel road. The turn-off is well marked with a sign board. A mopane bridge has been constructed to take you over a backwater, about 2.4 km from the turn-off. This road is passable by sedan vehicles outside the rainy season (November to mid-April), but 4 x 4 vehicles are preferred. The mopane bridge can take up to 4 tons and has a speed limit of 5 km/h.
