Coming up - Project Handover in NAM-PLACE Landscapes

New access bridge into Nkasa Rupara National Park constructed with funding from the NAMPLACE project and the Game Products Trust Fund

The NAM-PLACE project is preparing to visit the all landscapes to hand over the activities and infrastructure developed during the lifespan of the NAM-PLACE project. There were a number of interventions, including radio communications systems, fire fighting training and equipment, patrol camps and access bridges, and many other project interventions across the board. The events are set to take place during the third quarter of 2015.

Some of the activities and infrastructure are:

  • Klein Karas Community Garden and Waste Management pilot site in Ai-ais Hot Spring Park, both in the Greater Fish River Canyon Landscape
  • All infrastructural interventions in the Windhoek Green Belt Landscape
  • Best practice Workshop for all landscapes.
